Investor Portal Privacy Notice
Version 1.0 · Approved 13 August 2026
Who we are
Access Financial Services Ltd (“Access”, “we”) operates this private investor portal. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice.
Access Financial Services Limited is registered in England and Wales, company number 04427489. Registered office: Unit 1, Furtho Court, Towcester Road, Old Stratford, Milton Keynes, MK19 6AN. We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Financial Services Register number 301173) and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration Z564037X).
What this portal is
The portal is a private, invitation-only website where people we have invited can review confidential information about a potential investment in Access. Access to the portal is controlled by us and every account is personal to the person we invite.
The information we collect
- Your name and email address, which we use to create and manage your account.
- Sign-in records — when you sign in and out, and whether sign-in attempts succeed.
- How you use the portal — which sections you view, roughly how long you spend reading them, which documents you view or download, and any requests you send us through the portal (for example a request to arrange a discussion).
- Basic technical information — the general type of device and browser you use.
We deliberately do not collect your precise location, and the portal contains no advertising cookies, no marketing trackers and no third-party analytics tools. The hosting services we use keep standard technical logs, which can include IP addresses, for security purposes.
Why we collect it
- To run the portal securely — controlling who can access confidential investment information, and keeping records that protect both you and us (for example, an audit record of document access).
- To understand engagement — the portal shows our management which sections and documents an invited investor has looked at, so we can have better-informed conversations with you.
- To respond to you — when you send a request through the portal.
Our legal bases for this are our legitimate interests in running a confidential investment process and protecting confidential information, and taking steps at your request prior to entering into a possible agreement.
Cookies
The portal uses only the cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in securely. There are no optional, advertising or analytics cookies, which is why the portal does not show a cookie consent banner.
Who can see your information
Your information is visible only to Access's authorised administrator. It is stored with our technology service providers (currently Supabase, our database and login provider, and Vercel, our hosting provider), who process it on our instructions. We do not sell or share your information with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep the information while there remains a genuine investment or business purpose for holding it, and we review what we hold periodically. Records can be deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed, and you can ask us to do so.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information, including the right to ask for a copy of it, to have it corrected, to have it deleted where applicable, and to object to or restrict how it is used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at karl@accessfs.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
